Marsh Clubmoss

After Black Crag we drove down to Torver to try and find the very rare marsh clubmoss. There are only three known sites in Cumbria for this schedule 8 endangered species. We had good marks for it though and it was great to see this new species doing relatively well at this site at least.

The site - characteristically damp with firm, bare peat mud.

We found it!

Emerald damselflies; a common darter and purple loosestrife.

A great wall!
