Dark Red Helleborines

One of the main reasons for visiting Whitbarrow was to see the dark red helleborines in flower. We parked by Witherslack school and then after walking down the track alongside the school football pitch and passing through the gate, we turned immediately left and along and then up the side of Whitbarrow. You can also just go over a stile and behind  the football posts to find the path - this is a note to myself as I always forget where to go!
