Wedholme Flow NNR

Saturday was rather dismal morning  that did finally come out as we were about to leave the site. As the sun came out lots of insects emerged - the highlight being the bog bush crickets.

It was good to see some standing water on the moss
 - given how bone dry it was earlier in the year.

Cross-leaved heath and ling.

Water droplets and teasels.

A beutifully fresh red admiral.

Bog bush crickets.

Dragonfly nymphs, darter sp, grashopper sp, meadow brown, small skipper
(there were lots), water droplets on a fox moth and a white wave sp.

Peeling paint on a trailer -
I can never resist peeling paint photos and always intend to do something artistic based on them.
