For once, I managed to be ahead of the game and have a felted ball ready to go....
The polystyrene ball was needle felted in greens, before being placed in the washing machine on a 50 degree wash...the flowers were then added before photographing the ball in situ with real primroses.

| The ball was completely covered before being placed in and old tight and washed in a washing machine. |

| Carefully cut into the tight and peel it back. |
