Wedholme Flow golden hour

Having arrived back from holiday and done a day at work, I wanted a quick walk out  - so it was down to Wedholme Flow. Nothing spectacular, but it was so nice to hear and see lapwing displaying; curlew calling and a brief glimpse of a hare. Everything was really quite beige in colour terms, but buds are beginning to burst and the late afternoon light meant the blues in the water sang.

The cotton-grass is almost out.

Displaying lapwing.

Reflections...

Cotton grass ....bog cotton.

Lapwing / Peewit.

The bullrushes have burst ...in this case landing in a cobweb, with inhabitants!
