Many of you may be familiar with my 'felt ball' project. Today I notched it up a level and went for a more 3D subject ...arum! This link takes you to a more detailed blog of the creation process...
click here Most other balls I have made have been using flowers and leaves, but this one was far more sculptural. It wasn't easy to work out how to do it, but I covered the ball in the usual fashion before cutting the leaves, which were needle felted to create veins, and then the hood of the spike - which was sewn to wrap around and the actual spike in the middle of the arum was a felted pipe cleaner. Then once again , the joy was in the insitu photography. Links to other felt balls are:
