Rannerdale bluebells.

It was a gorgeous day on Tuesday, so a quick trip out to Rannerdale was on the cards. The bluebells were spectacular. The site was busy, but not crowded, as it should be - people celebrating our natural heritage. Lovely to hear the cuckoo too!

The bluebells on the northern side are only in bud...Crummock Waater is in the background.

A contrast showing the effect of grazing.
