I am currently focussing much of my artwork on Cumbria Wildlife Trust's nature reserves. having made my fused glass wave of rockrose at Latterbarrow I wanted to try to do columbine in glass....If it works then I might try to combine them both in a larger glass piece ....
Columbine is not the simplest of shapes, so I broke the shape of the flower into triangles and ovals that could be combined to create the more complex shape. The trouble being that then the petals would merge - so I added powder to try to emphasize the petal overlap.
We'll see how it turns out - fingers crossed!
