Waitby Greenriggs

On Sunday we travelled south to Waitby ..and Cumbria Wildlife Trust's reserve was looking the best I have ever seen it.

The reserve...

Red start - that perched in perfect view.

The fly orchids were stunning - up to 8 flowers on a single stem.

Twayblade looking good.

Lesser butterfly orchids ...there were many!

And unbeknown to me - transplanted bee orchids - doing well.

Globe flowers...

Bird's-eye primrose...

Northern marh orchid - left; common spotted - right; the hybrid center.
