Fairfield horseshoe - the cairns....

With the current Covid situation, people swarming to the lakes, we set off early to be parked in Ambleside for 8am. Then a great day out doing the Fairfield horseshoe - remarkably we saw very few people really and even had the summit of Fairfield to ourselves at lunchtime. Given the heat I reckon locals were staying away and tourists were stopping by the lakes and tarns. It was hot, but it was a good strategy to go round clockwise - doing the steep ascent onto Nab Scar and Heron Pike, as early as possible in the day.
